Playable Spaces
Riverside Square, 25-26 February 2022
For two days only, come and experience Playable Spaces in Keynsham’s Riverside Square (immediately in front of Keynsham Leisure Centre). Robotic artworks – including an immersive robotic pavilion, oversized robotic flowers and a giant illuminated turtle (as seen on Blue Peter!) – together ‘sense’ and respond to visitor movement and behaviour.
By subtly reacting to the world around them, the soft robotics explore the relationship between people, nature, and the built environment, and show how public spaces might grow more sensitive to our collective physical and mental wellbeing in future.
Playable Spaces is by Little Lost Robot, a new CIC which uses technology to create a vision of the future that is non-slick, human centric and gloriously humane in all its messy domestic parts.
This installation forms part of Making Space for Our Future, the launch festival for Keynsham’s HS HAZ Local Cultural Programme.
