As part of Keynsham’s Local Cultural Programme, the Cultural Consortium is co-ordinating the town’s Heritage Open Days for September 2022.
Keynsham Heritage Open Days Update
In light of the sad news of the Queen’s passing, some of the planned events for Keynsham’s Heritage Open Days have been postponed either by community partners or by Keynsham Cultural Consortia, Keynsham Town Council and Bath & North East Somerset Council as a mark of respect.
Events have been updated below as to what has been postponed and what is still going ahead.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, and will update you as soon as possible about rescheduled events. If in any doubt, please contact venues directly before leaving to confirm whether or not their events are taking place. We are currently working hard to reschedule postponed events and more information will be shared in due course.
What is Heritage Open Days?
Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture. It’s all about encouraging people to visit interesting historic buildings, cultural venues and natural spaces that they might not have visited before. For ten days in September, shops, squares, churches, cemeteries, private homes, civic buildings, parks and performance venues open their doors to the public. The theme for 2022 is “Astounding Inventions” – uncovering the history of invention, industry and innovation.
When is Heritage Open Days?
The festival runs 9-18 September 2022. Some events take place every day – others will be just a day, or a few hours.
