Visitors can tour the Georgian church building and see a display charting its history since 1834. They can also avail themselves of the repair cafe taking place at the same time.
Keynsham Baptist Church, originally known as Ebenezer Chapel, is a grade II listed building. Its ornate floral-patterned balconies, supported on cast-iron pillars, contain the organ and original wooden pews. Visitors will be able to explore these and the under-floor baptistry.
A display of photographs, documents and descriptive text will present the history of the church. At the same time, volunteers will be running a repair cafe where people can bring items to be mended and enjoy refreshments and light snacks.
